TPAD: A new way to make cheaper calls from regular phone

While I am exploring ways to make cheaper international calls, I have come across this awesome service provided by TPAD . Eventhough this service is available in few selected countries, its definitely cheaper way to make an international call.

Here caller can make a call from any regular phone from his country. The receiver will receive the call on his PC or he can forward it to a landline. Receiver won't pay any amount for receiving the call and whatever caller pays is also small amount.

Following procedure has to be followed to make a call using this procedure.

1. Receiver has to register with TPAD, so he will be given a unique 7 digit number.
2. Now caller has to call his (caller's) country TPAD number and press 1.
3. Now caller will dial the receiver's 7 digit number.
Now receiver will get the call on his TPAD softphone on his PC or he can transfer the call to a landline.

TPAD describes the same with following example..

"My family in Karachi are poor and they can't afford to ring me as often as they like, but I have just set a Free Account up with Tpad and explained to them that they just ring the Tpad Pakistan Number, press 1 then dial my 7 digit Tpad Number; then they can talk any time of the day for as long as they want and it will be charged at a low rate. I can take the call free on my Softphone or forward the call to my landline for which I pay just 1.5p a minute."
